Nattokinase: Functional enzyme to improve blood circulation and prevent cardiovascular diseases
Bacillus subtilis natto extracts powder is approved as a health food ingredient by the Korea FDA, which contains mainly nattokinase enzyme. Nattokinase dissolves fibrin, the main component of thrombus, and it is known for its efficacy to facilitate blood flow and reduce blood pressure.
Mechanism of Action of Nattokinase
Nattokinase significantly contributes to preventing high blood pressure and cardiovascular diseases by facilitating the degradation of fibrin, a protein that produces thrombus. Consequently, it inhibits the formation of blood clots, activates pro-urokinase which is a precursor to urokinase, an enzyme that dissolves blood clots in the body, and increases the amount of plasminogen activator that produces plasmin, a thrombolytic enzyme, and facilitates blood circulation.
